Job summary

Coffman Engineers is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with at least ten years of experience. The ideal candidate will lead design teams, work with the business development group on proposals, and deliver civil engineering services for diverse projects in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary office.

The candidate should have site, grading, drainage, utility design experience, and a PE license, with strong communication and teamwork skills. This on-site role offers growth within a progressive firm.

Qualifications

• Essential Engineering Skills and Functions: Develop fee and qualification-based proposals.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and a variety of Civil Engineering design software applications.
• Proficient in Hydro CAD, Storm CAD and SWWM (or similar) stormwater modeling programs.
• Technical experience with hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, technical studies, mapping documents, preparation and processing of civil construction documents, and earthwork calculations
• Stormwater experience in Texas areas preferred.
• Collaborate with the architect, owner, and contractor to provide a well-coordinated and high-quality set of structural drawings.
• Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities.
• Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint software preferred. Must understand database concepts. Working knowledge of marketing databases and proposal resources files.
• Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale.
• Ability to travel
