Job summary

Toole Design Group in Hartford, CT is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead the design and delivery of high-visibility transportation projects. You will guide civil design teams on safety improvements, multimodal capacity expansions, and major capital projects from concept through construction.

You will mentor junior staff, run client meetings, and help win new work while expanding your regional network across Connecticut and the Northeast.

Qualifications

Connecticut P.E. license or ability to obtain within six months.
10+ years of complex transportation and project management experience.
Proven leadership of multi-discipline infrastructure design and construction teams.
Strong networks and relationships in the New England transportation market, including DOTs, municipalities, and consulting firms.
Experience in multimodal transportation and roadway design; comfortable presenting on projects and pursuit interviews.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and delivery of highly visible transportation projects.
Guide civil design teams on safety improvement, capacity expansion, and major capital projects.
Mentor junior staff and lead client meetings; turn complex challenges into buildable solutions.
