Job summary

GM2 Associates, Inc in Connecticut seeks a Senior Transportation Engineer/Project Manager to lead the design and delivery of complex roadway, highway, and multimodal projects for CTDOT, municipalities, and other public-sector clients.

The successful candidate will manage scope, schedule, budget, and staffing across multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior staff, and contribute to business development by pursuing repeat work and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or higher.
• CT PE license required.
• 10+ years of progressive transportation engineering experience including roadway/highway design.
• Experience managing CTDOT, COGs, and municipal projects.
• Proficiency with OpenRoadsDesigner, MicroStation, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Manager and primary client contact for roadway, highway, and multimodal projects.
• Lead projects from planning through final design, permitting, bidding, and construction support.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, staffing, quality, and client expectations.
• Coordinate with subconsultants, contractors, utilities, municipalities, and regulatory agencies.
• Provide technical leadership and QA/QC oversight for transportation projects.
• Prepare plans, specifications, estimates, reports, and permit applications.
