Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Lead Senior Civil Engineer - Solid Waste Engineering in Texas to lead project teams delivering solid waste facility design and permitting. Responsibilities include regulatory coordination, safety, and ensuring project objectives are met across multiple Texas locations.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to travel as needed to support projects in Houston, Austin, San Antonio, and Dallas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and Texas PE registration.
• 10+ years of post-education experience in civil engineering design.
• Experience in solid waste containment systems design and permitting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Engineer license required (multi-state preferred).
• Works independently and provides guidance to mid-level to senior team members.

Responsibilities

• Direct project design teams and manage large solid waste projects.
• Prepare engineering design reports and QA/QC programs.
• Lead contract negotiations, presentations, and meetings.
• Pursue and secure new project opportunities and client interaction.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure timely project delivery and budgets.
