Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Lead Senior Civil Engineer - Solid Waste Engineering in Texas (Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Dallas). You will lead project teams on civil and environmental projects involving waste facility design, permitting, and operations planning. Travel and fieldwork may be required.

The role demands a BSCE, Texas PE, and 10+ years in civil engineering with solid waste experience, strong leadership, and client interaction abilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering with Texas PE registration.
• 10+ years of post-education experience in civil engineering design.
• Experience in solid waste containment, permitting, landfill gas, and master plans.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency with MS Office.
• Ability to lead teams and manage projects independently or jointly.

Responsibilities

• Lead project design teams on solid waste and civil engineering projects.
• Oversee large solid waste sector projects and QA/QC programs.
• Prepare engineering design reports and proposals.
• Mentor junior staff and provide strategic leadership for the discipline.
• Coordinate with clients, regulators, and subcontractors; manage budgets.
