Job summary

WSP is seeking a Lead Senior Civil Engineer - Solid Waste Engineering in Texas. The role focuses on managing project design teams for solid waste facilities, permitting and regulatory compliance, with travel as needed across Texas cities including Houston, Austin, San Antonio and Dallas.

The candidate will lead engineering design, QA/QC, safety practices, and client interactions while mentoring junior staff and contributing to growth and proposals within the Civil Ground Engineering & Materials

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering (or related).
• 10+ years of post-education experience in civil engineering design.
• Engineer license required (multi-state preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Direct project design teams and large solid waste projects.
• Prepare engineering design reports and QA/QC programs.
• Lead proposals, client and regulator interactions.
• Mentor junior staff and manage budgets/time resources.
• Ensure compliance with codes and project scopes.
