Job summary

WSP is seeking a Lead Senior Civil Engineer - Solid Waste Engineering in Texas, with sites in Houston, Austin, San Antonio, and Dallas. The role involves leading project teams on waste facility design, permitting, stormwater, and landfill gas management, including fieldwork and overnight travel as project needs dictate.

You will mentor staff, develop proposals, and manage budgets while ensuring compliance with codes and regulations. Texas PE and 10+ years of experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and valid Texas PE registration.
• 10+ years of post-education civil engineering design experience.
• Experience with solid waste containment systems, permitting, landfill gas, and master planning preferred.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Managing and directing project design teams.
• Leading large solid waste sector projects and design work.
• Preparing engineering design reports and QA/QC programs.
• Mentoring junior staff and pursuing new opportunities.
• Providing leadership for civil engineering discipline and project delivery.
