Job summary
WSP is seeking a Lead Senior Civil Engineer - Solid Waste Engineering in Texas (Houston/Austin/Dallas/San Antonio). You will lead project teams, oversee waste facility design and permitting, and guide QA/QC programs while coordinating with clients and regulators across Texas.
The role requires extensive fieldwork, travel, and a proactive approach to growth in the Civil Engineering discipline within WSP.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and valid Texas PE registration.
- 10+ years of post-education civil engineering design experience.
- Experience in solid waste containment systems, permitting, and landfill gas management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; strong leadership ability.
Responsibilities
- Lead project design teams on civil and environmental projects in the solid waste sector.
- Direct large projects, manage budgets, hours and subcontractors.
- Prepare design reports and deliver QA/QC programs.
- Grow pipelines and pursue new project opportunities.
- Engage with clients, regulators and external partners with professionalism.
