Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Lead Senior Civil Engineer - Solid Waste Engineering for Texas locations (Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Dallas). The role leads project teams on civil/environmental projects involving waste facility design, permitting, and related services, with overnight travel as needed.

The ideal candidate has a Texas PE, 10+ years in civil engineering design, and strong leadership, communication, and client interaction skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field with Texas PE registration.
• 10+ years of post-education experience in civil engineering design.
• Experience in solid waste containment systems, permitting, landfill gas, and master planning.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct project design teams.
• Lead large Solid Waste projects and ensure quality control.
• Prepare engineering design reports and proposals.
• Mentor junior staff and provide leadership within the civil engineering team.
• Interact with clients and regulatory agencies to advance projects.
