Job summary

Ensono seeks a Senior CICS Mainframe Systems Programmer to provide premium support for our mainframe clients, focusing on CICS TS and related OEM products. The role requires 10+ years of zSeries experience and offers remote work within the United States with on-call duties and weekend coverage.

You will install, tailor, and upgrade CICS TS environments, coordinate with migration and disaster recovery teams, and ensure timely service delivery while meeting Ensono standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of zSeries/mainframe experience with hands-on CICS TS and OEM product support.
• Thorough knowledge of CICS TS concepts, configuration, and tailoring.
• Experience with IBM SMP/E.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot.
• Experience with performance monitoring for CICS TS regions.
• Ability to work independently and in teams; good communication.
• Ability to multi-task, handle deadlines, and work under pressure.
• On-call, overtime, and weekend work as required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill CSOs for mainframe z/OS customers related to CICS TS.
• Provide primary support for reported CICS TS issues and OEM products.
• Offer 24x7x365 support across multiple time zones.
• Install OEM products following Ensono standards and best practices.
• Collaborate to prepare partitions for annual OS upgrade processes.
• Support customer migration services related to CICS TS and OEM products.
• Assist project managers with customer transitions and migrations.
• Work with Disaster Recovery Services on DR plans.
• Adhere to scheduling to optimize resource use and timely implementations.
• Follow ITSM change control procedures and apply vendor fixes.
