Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Mainframe Systems Programmer – CICS to provide premium support to our mainframe clients, focusing on CICS TS and related OEM software products. The role requires hands-on z/OS experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work across time zones on a 24/7 schedule.

The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of CICS TS, SMP/E tooling, and the ability to work independently or in teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years on the zSeries mainframe with hands-on CICS TS experience.
• Strong knowledge of CICS TS and related OEM products.
• Strong IBM SMP/E knowledge and usage.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill CSOs for mainframe z/OS customers related to CICS TS and OEM products.
• Provide primary support for reported CICS TS problems.
• Provide 24x7x365 support across multiple time zones.
• Install OEM software products following Ensono standards and best practices.
• Prepare customer partitions for annual OS upgrades using checklists.
• Support customer migrations for new transitions related to CICS TS and OEM products.
• Assist project managers to ensure timely migrations and remove blockers.
• Support disaster recovery tasks with Disaster Recovery Services.
• Follow ITSM change control procedures and implement fixes/updates as needed.
