Ensono is seeking a Mainframe Systems Programmer – CICS for the United States to provide premium support for CICS TS on z/OS and related OEM software.

The role includes 24/7 coverage, installations, migrations, DR coordination, and ITSM change control. Strong communication and self-motivation are essential for success in a client-facing, multi-time-zone environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years on the zSeries mainframe with CICS TS and OEM product support.
• Knowledge of CICS TS and related OEM products.
• Experience with IBM SMP/E.
• Strong analytical skills and CICS TS configuration knowledge.
• Experience monitoring CICS TS performance.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Ability to multi-task under deadlines and high pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill CSOs for z/OS customers related to CICS TS and OEM products.
• Provide primary support for CICS TS issues.
• Support 24x7x365 operations across multiple time zones.
• Install OEM products following best practices and Ensono standards.
• Prepare customer partitions for annual OS upgrades.
• Assist migrations for new customers and address technical hurdles.
• Coordinate with Disaster Recovery Services for DR plans.
• Adhere to ITSM change control procedures.
• Apply vendor fixes and upgrades to z/OS products.
