Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking an Automation Engineer on the Engineering Systems team to maintain and improve code signing, encryption frameworks, and build pipelines. You will support Windows/Linux/Mac platforms, manage certificates, and design scalable tooling for secure, reliable software delivery.

The role emphasizes collaboration with global teams, on-call rotation, and the use of Python, Groovy, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud APIs to drive secure, efficient build systems and continuous integration

Qualifications

U.S. citizenship or green card status required.
5+ years of professional software engineering or DevOps/build engineering experience.
Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
Deep knowledge of encryption/PKI concepts as they relate to code signing.
Experience writing Groovy for Jenkins pipeline development.

Responsibilities

Manage code signing for binaries, packages, and software artifacts across platforms (Windows, Linux, Mac).
Manage certificate lifecycles including issuance, renewal, revocation, and storage.
Design, implement, and maintain encryption, certificate, and code signing frameworks and tooling.
Identify opportunities to improve operation of existing systems and automate where possible.
Deliver end-to-end improvements from design to deployment for internal customers.
Produce clear and maintainable code with minimal oversight.
Provide documentation for users of the tools created.
Perform code reviews and on-call build engineer duties.
Troubleshoot build, packaging, and deployment issues.
Collaborate with global, cross-functional teams across time zones.
