Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking an Automation Engineer on the Engineering Systems team to modernize build, test, signing, and deployment pipelines across cloud and on-prem environments. You will own code signing, certificate lifecycles, and the tooling that enables scalable, reliable pipelines.

This role requires strong Python scripting, Groovy for Jenkins, and hands-on CI/CD platform experience. You will collaborate with global teams, participate in on-call rotations, and contribute to secure automation

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of professional software engineering or DevOps/build engineering experience.
Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
Deep knowledge of encryption/PKI concepts related to code signing.
Experience writing Groovy for Jenkins pipeline development (Jenkinsfiles, shared libraries).
Proven capabilities operating, administering, and troubleshooting CI/CD platforms (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab).
Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with configuration tools such as Ansible, Chef, and/or Salt.
Experience automating virtualization environments (e.g. VMWare).
Familiarity with public cloud APIs (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure).
Familiarity with build/release engineering and software development lifecycles.
Ability to work collaboratively with development teams to support and improve build/release processes.

Responsibilities

Manage code signing for binaries across Windows, Linux, and Mac platforms.
Manage certificate lifecycles including issuance, renewal, and revocation.
Design, implement, and maintain encryption, certificate, and code signing frameworks.
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency of existing systems.
Drive end-to-end improvements from design to delivery for internal customers.
Produce clear, maintainable code with minimal oversight.
Provide user documentation for tools created and perform code reviews.
Perform on-call build engineer duties and troubleshooting.
Troubleshoot and remediate build, packaging, and deployment failures.
Collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones.
