Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking an Automation Engineer on the Engineering Systems team to manage code signing across Windows, Linux, and Mac while maintaining certificate lifecycles and encryption frameworks. You will design automation tooling, drive end-to-end improvements, and collaborate with global teams in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment.

The role requires 5+ years of DevOps/build engineering, strong Python, Groovy/Jenkins experience, and familiarity with cloud APIs.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship or Green Card status.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering or DevOps/build engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
• Deep knowledge of encryption/PKI concepts related to code signing.
• Experience writing Groovy for Jenkins pipeline development.
• Experience operating CI/CD platforms (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with configuration tools (Ansible, Chef, Salt).
• Experience automating virtualization environments (VMware).
• Familiarity with public cloud APIs (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with build/release lifecycles.
• Ability to collaborate across time zones.
• Attention to detail, timely decisions.
• Self-learning in fast-paced environment.
• Security mindset and AI experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage code signing for binaries across Windows, Linux, Mac.
• Manage certificate lifecycles including issuance, renewal, revocation.
• Design, implement, and maintain encryption and code signing frameworks.
• Identify opportunities to improve operation of existing systems.
• Drive end-to-end improvements from design to delivery.
• Produce clear and maintainable code with minimal oversight.
• Provide documentation for users of the tools.
• Perform code reviews.
• On-call build engineer duties and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and remediate build/deploy failures.
• Be part of an on-call rotation.
• Work productively as a remote employee.
