Job summary

NSA’s Linguists, the Multidisciplined Language Analysts (MDLAs), translate, transcribe, and analyze foreign language materials to support SIGINT missions. Depending on skill level, MDLAs are considered for either the Language Analysis Development Program (LADP) or direct hire into analytic offices.

LADP lasts up to three years and includes tours, classroom and software training. Applicants must have ILR level 2/2 in reading and listening for the target language and a degree in any field.

Qualifications

• Minimum ILR 2/2 in reading/listening for the target language.
• Degree in any field acceptable; LADP or direct hire possible.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, transcribe, and translate Foreign language materials for SIGINT.
• Engage with partners, enablers, and customers across the IC to accomplish missions.
• Perform language quality control and mentor others in language analysis.
• Contribute to written and oral assessments providing unique insights.
