NSA's Linguists, known as Multidisciplined Language Analysts (MDLAs), analyze, transcribe, and translate foreign language materials to support the SIGINT mission. MDLAs may enter the Language Analysis Development Program (LADP) or be hired directly; the LADP includes multiple tours and training to build core analytic competencies.

Applicants must have ILR 2/2 in reading and listening for the target language; full-performance levels require 7 years of relevant experience or equivalent education,

Competenze

• Minimum ILR 2/2 in reading and listening for the target language.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in translation, transcription, or analysis.
• Degree accepted in any field; higher degrees eligible for entry/developmental or full-performance levels.

Mansioni

• Analyze, transcribe, and translate foreign language materials for SIGINT.
• Engage with partners and customers across the Intelligence Community.
• Participate in LADP or direct-hire paths to develop core analytic competencies.
