Job summary

NSA seeks Linguists, known as Multidisciplined Language Analysts (MDLAs), to support SIGINT missions. MDLAs may enter the Language Analysis Development Program (LADP) or direct hire into analytic offices.

LADP lasts up to three years with rotations, training, and operational tours focusing on language analysis, transcripts, and reports. Responsibilities include analysis, translation, and collaboration with partners across the Intelligence Community to deliver high-quality SIGINT products and

Qualifications

• Minimum ILR level 2/2 in reading and listening for target language.
• A degree in any field is acceptable.
• Entry: high school diploma/GED + 4 years relevant experience or Associate's +2 or Bachelor's +0.
• Full performance: higher education with more experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze foreign language materials (translation, transcription, analysis).
• Research and understand cultures and geopolitical contexts.
• Apply new techniques to solve analytic problems and synthesize data.
• Craft written and oral assessments and provide insights unavailable from other disciplines.
• Work independently and collaborate with NSA and IC analysts.
