Job summary

Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) seeks a Support Enforcement Specialist Senior for the Roanoke District to lead a case management team and ensure families receive financial and familial support. The role covers complex cases across Locate, Establishment, Court, Enforcement, Interstate, and Review & Adjustment, with occasional court testimony.

Qualifications

Information collection through interviewing and obtaining/reviewing records, and documents and the ability to analyze and determine the appropriate action in order to achieve results.
Reviewing, creating and analyzing reports to determine the appropriate actions needed to achieve results.
Effective oral and written communication.
Skill in the use of a personal computer using remote access technology, email, automated information systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

Lead program agent on an assigned child support case management team to engage families for success.
Manage the most complex cases of child support obligations across Locate, Establishment, Court, Enforcement, Interstate, and Review & Adjustment.
Provide testimony in court when required and train specialists in procedures to determine and modify obligations.
