Job summary

The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) Division of Child Support Enforcement in Roanoke is hiring a Support Enforcement Specialist Senior to lead a case management team and address complex child support obligations. You will work with families to ensure financial and family support, may train staff, and may testify in court as needed.

This role may involve a split schedule between onsite and remote work, with opportunities for telework under policy.

Qualifications

Interpret and apply child support enforcement laws, regulations, policies and/or procedures to ensure compliance and produce outcomes.
Guide others to promote teamwork and improve results.
Interact with a diverse public to resolve problems in challenging situations.
Work independently with multiple priorities in a caseload setting.
Collaborate as a team member to achieve goals.

Responsibilities

Lead program agent on an assigned child support case management team.
Manage the most complex cases across Locate, Establishment, Court, Enforcement, Interstate, and Review & Adjustment.
Train or retrain Specialists in procedures for determining, assessing and modifying obligations.
Provide testimony in court when required.
Conduct compliance reviews and apply case management processes.
