Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to interact with a diverse public in a service setting to tactfully solve problems.
• Skill in information collection through interviewing and reviewing records and reports to determine actions.
• Ability to work independently: plan, organize, and handle multiple priorities in a caseload setting.
• Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies and/or procedures to ensure compliance and positive outcomes.
• Skill in using a personal computer with remote access, email, information systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong listening and negotiating skills with clear written and oral communications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.

Responsibilities

• Locating non-custodial parents and working with state and national child support agencies.
• Establishing paternity and determining child support obligations and health care coverage.
• Enforcing orders through administrative and judicial actions and providing testimony in court when required.
• Connecting parents with resources and partners to support self-sufficiency and active parenting.
