Aligned Data Centers, LLC is seeking a Chief Engineer to provide senior technical leadership across electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety, and BMS systems in a mission-critical facility. The role bridges shift operations and site leadership, driving change management quality and operational continuity.

The ideal candidate will have deep data center infrastructure expertise, strong procedural discipline, and proven leadership in high-availability environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (Engineering, Operations Management, or related field).
• 5+ years in data center operations or critical facilities management; multi-site experience a plus.
• Strong leadership, risk management, and technical training delivery capabilities.
• Experience developing onboarding or technical programs within infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical oversight for critical facility systems (electrical, UPS, generators, HVAC).
• Review Change Requests to ensure risk mitigation and safety compliance.
• Ensure work adheres to SOPs, MOPs, EOPs and change management procedures.
• Lead RCA investigations and coordinate cross-shift activities for operational continuity.
• Mentor LCFTs, CFTs, and CFMTs; support onboarding and training of operations staff.
• Coordinate site projects, turnover readiness for new equipment, and CMMS updates.
