Job summary

Jericho Project is seeking a Senior Case Manager based in Manhattan to support low-income veteran families facing homelessness or at risk. The role emphasizes evidence-based practices such as CTI, Motivational Interviewing, and Harm Reduction, with oversight of junior staff and program operations.

You will promote housing stability, provide comprehensive services, and collaborate with local resources to help families achieve independence and well-being.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services required.
• 0–6 months of related field experience preferred.
• Experience with homelessness, substance use, mental health and trauma settings preferred.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Critical Time Intervention, Motivational Interviewing, and Harm Reduction techniques to assist veteran families in resolving housing crises.
• Conduct assessments and program intakes ensuring data accuracy and compliance with requirements.
• Develop and update housing stability plans to support veterans in obtaining and maintaining housing.
• Provide direct case management through office visits, fieldwork, and home visits.
• Identify client strengths and needs to address housing barriers.
• Mediate landlord-tenant disputes threatening housing stability.
• Provide crisis intervention and post-placement follow-up support as needed.
• Coordinate resources and advocate for veteran families with community providers.
• Represent the SSVF program at meetings and events to further its mission.
