Job summary

Addington Place of Lakeside Vista is seeking a Medication Technician to safely administer prescribed medications, provide personal care, and deliver general nursing services to residents in a senior living community. The role requires attention to MAR/TAR documentation, adherence to regulations, and compassionate support for residents’ daily needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1+ months of experience; Senior Living preferred.
• Current Medication Technician certification per state regulations.
• Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties.
• Basic computer proficiency: Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Supervise self-administered meds per MAR/TAR under supervision.
• Count and sign narcotics on approved form with supervising personnel.
• Order meds and treatments from pharmacy or notify responsible party when supply is low.
• Notify supervisor when stock is low and meds not received.
• Maintain proper storage and labeling for meds, lotions, and liquids.
• Document information in daily log and notify supervisor of concerns.
• Assist residents with ADLs, personal care, and nourishment as needed.
• Complete med cart cleaning and restocking at shift end.
