Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a senior leader to drive strategic capture efforts for the Launch and Exploration Division within Space Systems. You will report to the Director, Capture Excellence and collaborate across functions to shape and execute winning strategies that increase our overall capture win rate.

You will lead cross-functional capture teams, develop capture strategies, form win themes, and analyze customer needs to inform strategy while coordinating with leadership and stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, a technical field, or another relevant discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant government/defense experience.
• Proven track record leading cross-disciplinary business development, proposal, or capture teams.
• Experience managing full-cycle capture activities including strategy, resource planning, and customer engagement.
• Experience using Salesforce and following the BAP (Business Acquisition Process).
• Excellent verbal communication skills with experience briefing executives and influencing decision makers.
• Understanding of FAR and government contract types (IDIQ, FFP, Cost Plus).
• Ability to lead local and geographically dispersed teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Active Top Secret/eligible for SCI clearance at application time.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional capture teams to plan and execute end-to-end capture activities for major opportunities.
• Develop and execute capture strategies and tactics with competitive assessments and price-to-win analyses.
• Formulate Win Themes and Value Propositions for each capture initiative.
• Analyze customer needs, market drivers, and stakeholders to inform strategy.
• Cultivate internal and external relationships with key stakeholders and customers.
• Coordinate with line-of-business leadership, finance, contracts, and engineering.
• Use Salesforce and BAP to manage captures and drive win rate.
• Implement sector-specific processes to enhance capture win rate.
