Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Senior Manager, Capture Management 3 (LED), to lead end-to-end capture efforts for major opportunities. This role may include travel and requires a Top Secret/SCI eligible clearance.

The position emphasizes strategy development, stakeholder engagement, and collaboration across functions to win competitive opportunities. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, a technical field, or another relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in government or defense.
• Proven track record leading cross-disciplinary business development, proposals, or capture teams.
• Experience managing full-cycle capture activities including strategy, resource planning, and customer engagement.
• Experience using Salesforce and following the BAP.
• Excellent verbal communication with executives and decision makers.
• Understanding of FAR and government contract types (IDIQ, FFP, Cost Plus).
• Ability to lead local and geographically dispersed teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Active Top Secret/ eligible for SCI clearance at application time.
• Able to start with Top Secret clearance and obtain SCI upon hiring.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional capture teams to plan and execute end-to-end capture activities for major opportunities.
• Develop and execute capture strategies and tactics including win themes and price-to-win analyses.
• Formulate win themes and value propositions for each capture initiative; develop strategies and price-to-win.
• Analyze customer needs, market drivers, and stakeholders to inform capture strategy.
• Cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders, industry groups, and customers.
• Coordinate with LOB leadership, finance, contracts, and engineering.
• Use Salesforce and BAP/sector processes to manage captures and drive win rate.
• Implement sector-specific processes to enhance win rate and secure large opportunities.
