Job summary

NinjaOne in the United States is seeking a Senior C++ Software Engineer for the Network Management Service team to build and evolve the cross-platform delegate that powers device discovery and network insight across distributed environments.

You will work with asynchronous operations, concurrent communication, and performance-sensitive code on Windows and Linux, using C++ and Qt with native implementations where needed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of C++ development experience.
• Proficiency in C++14 or newer.
• Experience with Qt and CMake.
• Experience on Windows, Linux/POSIX and cross‑platform environments.
• Strong multithreading, concurrency, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with network programming and protocols (SNMP valuable).
• Familiarity with SNMP, SSH, ICMP, WMI or similar network/system-management technologies.
• Ability to develop test cases and test plans for thorough coverage.
• Experience with highly critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Cross-Platform Development: Build and maintain software for Windows and Linux using C++ and Qt, with native implementations where appropriate.
• Network Discovery and Monitoring: Design and implement features for discovering network devices and monitoring health.
• Network Protocols: Work with protocols such as SNMP, SSH, ICMP, WMI, and others; handle vendor/device differences.
• Systems Programming: Develop high-performance, concurrent C++ software close to the network and multiple devices.
• Performance and Reliability: Design asynchronous workflows, optimize resources, ensure reliability at scale.
• Testing Ownership: Design and implement unit, integration, and system-level tests.
• Technical Collaboration: Work with backend, UI, QA, and product teams across OS and environments.
• Troubleshooting: Investigate complex C++, OS, network issues across components.
• Other Duties as needed.
