Job summary

NinjaOne is seeking a Senior C++ Software Engineer to join the Network Management Service (NMS) team. You will build and evolve a cross-platform delegate for device discovery and network insight across distributed environments, focusing on performance-sensitive C++ code on Windows and Linux.

You will collaborate with backend, UI, QA, and product teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions and handle protocols like SNMP, SSH, ICMP, and WMI in a large-scale cloud service.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of C++ development experience, with proficiency in C++14 or newer.
• Strong understanding of modern C++ and production-quality systems software.
• Proficiency working with Qt and CMake.
• Experience developing for Windows, Linux/POSIX and cross-platform environments.
• Strong understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with network programming and network protocols (SNMP, SSH, ICMP).

Responsibilities

• Cross-Platform Development for Windows and Linux using C++ and Qt.
• Design and implement device discovery, network monitoring, and data collection.
• Work with SNMP, SSH, ICMP, WMI, and other network protocols and platform APIs.
• Develop high-performance, concurrent software close to the network.
• Design asynchronous workflows and ensure reliability at scale.
• Create unit, integration, and system-level tests and ensure testability.
• Collaborate with backend, UI, QA, and product teams to define requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across OS, network, and device interactions.
