Job summary

GovCIO is seeking an experienced C# / ASP.NET Application Engineer to maintain and enhance a .NET web app with a SQL Server backend, SSIS packages, and AD integration. This position is fully remote within the United States.

You will optimize data models, tune queries, manage SQL Server Agent jobs, and participate in code reviews while following secure coding practices and Microsoft best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 12+ years of experience.
• Strong C# and ASP.NET experience with solid T-SQL skills.
• Hands-on SSIS development and SQL Server administration knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve ASP.NET applications (MVC/Web API/Web Forms) with front-end/back-end integration.
• Support SQL Server databases: queries, indexing, performance tuning.
• Update and deploy SSIS packages; manage SQL Server Agent jobs.
• Configure AD authentication and IIS settings; troubleshoot across stack.
• Write clean, maintainable code following .NET standards; participate in code reviews.
