Job summary

Coverys seeks a Senior Business Systems Analyst to plan and direct analysis of complex business problems solvable by automated systems. You will work with business partners, developers, testers and project managers to define software specs, analyze impact, and validate requirements.

Lead stakeholder alignment, facilitate workshops, and translate business needs into functional specs while ensuring HIPAA compliance and audit-ready documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
• Five plus years related experience and/or training.
• Experience within the insurance industry is required.
• Strong understanding of underwriting workflows and policy lifecycle, preferred.
• Experience coordinating with Legal, Security and Corporate Communications before changes are rolled out, preferred.
• Broad knowledge of SDLC methodologies and SQL queries.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze and document business and system requirements with strong decomposition skills.
• Communicate changes with downstream impact to systems/modules for alignment and priority.
• Independently facilitate stakeholder alignment across business and IT.
• Lead workshops, discovery sessions, and stakeholder interviews.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications; maintain the specs document.
• Drive testing with QA and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Ensure traceability from requirements through delivery.
• Monitor post-implementation problems and coordinate revisions.
• Assist with user training and documentation as needed.
