Job summary

Coverys is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to guide analysis for complex insurance solutions. You will work with business partners, developers, testers, product owners and data teams to define software specifications and validate outcomes.

You’ll lead requirements gathering, facilitate stakeholder alignment, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and data privacy standards while delivering high-quality technical specs and tests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
• Five+ years related experience and/or training.
• Experience within insurance industry is required.
• Strong understanding of underwriting workflows, risk assessment and policy lifecycle.
• Experience with externally facing applications and coordinating with Legal, Security and Corporate Communications.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze and document business and system requirements with strong skills in decomposition (epics → features → user stories → acceptance criteria).
• Communicate changes with downstream impact to systems/modules managed by other teams.
• Facilitate stakeholder alignment across business and IT.
• Lead workshops, discovery sessions and stakeholder interviews.
• Document nonfunctional requirements ensuring HIPAA compliance and data privacy.
• Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
• Drive testing with QA teams and support UAT.
• Ensure traceability from requirements through delivery.
• Assist with user training and documentation.
