Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Sewell, NJ, seeks a Lead Engineer to oversee the operation of a 265,000 square foot Class A medical office building. The role requires on-site leadership, budgeting, and coordination of a building engineering team.

Responsibilities include maintenance of MEP systems, preventive maintenance, client communications, capital planning, and contractor supervision. This is an on-site, full-time position with a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of related experience, especially in chief or senior engineering roles.
• People management experience (leading a team).
• Ability to analyze operation of industrial MEP and HVAC systems and troubleshoot.
• Trade school education, union training, military service or college education.
• Universal CFC EPA certification.
• Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and CMMS.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders up to 30 feet.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and equipment.
• Supervise and manage engineers and maintenance staff.
• Create and update preventive, predictive and reactive maintenance plans.
• Participate in client-facing and property team communications.
• Lead and manage the engineering budget and participate in operating budgets.
• Assist in developing a capital improvement plan.
• Select, schedule, supervise contractors; monitor performance.
• Respond to emergencies and service calls.
• Lead technical, safety, and operational training programs.
