Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking an Operating/Building Engineer to keep our facilities performing at peak levels in Sewell, NJ (Cherry Hill area). This on-site role handles mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, with a schedule of 7:00 am–3:00 pm, Monday–Friday and an on-call rotation.

You will perform preventive maintenance on HVAC and related systems, log readings, and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
• Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and CMMS.
• Trade school or college training preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing ladders.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Electrical, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems to keep all facility and building systems performing to applicable standards
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and associated equipment, including cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and replacing parts to maintain optimum performance levels
• Record equipment readings and system parameters, making necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation and identifying potential issues before they escape
• Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory to ensure all equipment is available, properly maintained, and ready for use
• Troubleshoot and repair lighting systems, including ballast replacement throughout the facility
• Perform maintenance and repairs on plumbing fixtures including toilets, urinals, and hand wash stations, and operate drain cleaning augers to resolve blockages
• Comply with departmental policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials while maintaining a clean and safe workplace at all times
