Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated seeks a Chief Engineer to lead our engineering team and deliver top-tier building performance while ensuring reliable operations for clients. You will oversee all mechanical/electrical systems, drive safety and compliance, and manage preventive maintenance programs.

With 7+ years in building operations and 3+ years in supervision, you will engage with clients and executives, optimize facilities, and promote continuous improvement in a dynamic CRE environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in building operations and maintenance with strong knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, boiler, and mechanical/electrical systems.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience managing engineering and maintenance teams, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Experience with commercial building systems, critical facility operations, and CFWA processes.
• Demonstrated knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance methodologies and building automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all building systems operations and maintenance programs to ensure 100% uptime.
• Lead engineering and maintenance staff; hire, train, and manage performance.
• Ensure CFWA compliance across staff, tenants, and contractors.
• Conduct inspections, monitor systems, and evaluate maintenance methods to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Maintain client relationships and manage vendor activities and supplies.
