Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Lead Operating Engineer to supervise engineering staff, oversee building operations, and drive performance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.

The role requires experience leading teams in commercial facilities, a Universal CFC Certification, and strong knowledge of CMMS and BAS. On-site 1st shift offers competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required due to government contract requirements.
• 7+ years of experience with commercial building systems and facility maintenance operations.
• 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Universal CFC Certification is required.
• Working knowledge of CMMS and BAS platforms.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and life safety systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, work orders, and engineering drawings.

Responsabilités

• Supervise engineering team operations and delegate preventive maintenance, repairs, and equipment installations.
• Inspect building equipment and systems to ensure safety and operational standards.
• Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, generators, and backup systems.
• Monitor BAS, respond to alarms, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Coordinate emergency repairs and prioritize work based on impact and staffing.
• Manage operational permits (hot work, roof access) and ensure site procedures compliance.
• Maintain inventory and support purchasing and vendor coordination.
