Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield seeks a Chief Engineer to lead daily operations of the engineering team across assigned properties. You will supervise staff, drive preventive maintenance, and ensure 100% safety program compliance while aligning with client and company standards.

The role includes budgeting, supervising HVAC, electrical, and life-safety systems, and coordinating with tenants and vendors to maintain high-quality service and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 7+ years of related work experience in a commercial property setting.
• Vocational/Technical training certificate.
• Appropriate license/permit such as Journeyman or Master Electrician.
• Universal Technician for CFCs depending on licensure.
• Financial knowledge for budgets and reporting.
• Familiar with EMS and fire alarm systems.
• Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel & Word.

Responsibilities

• Supervise engineers and maintenance staff including hiring and training.
• Ensure performance management and development through HR processes.
• Coordinate annual safety program scheduling and compliance.
• Manage building operating accounts, budgets and variances.
• Oversee building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fire/life safety.
• Develop and maintain maintenance and safety procedures and manuals.
• Coordinate with contractors, tenants and vendors.
