Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Senior Building Engineer to perform complex preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems across building interiors and exteriors. The role requires monitoring system performance, responding to emergencies, and supervising contractor work to ensure safety and efficiency.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED with 8+ years of relevant experience, Universal CFC certification, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 8+ years of experience in electrical systems, refrigeration and/or HVAC.
• Universal CFC certification required; additional certifications in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration or related fields encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, preventive, and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and other building systems.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot building equipment and control systems.
• Oversee work by outside contractors and ensure safety and compliance with codes.
• Prepare estimates for time and materials and manage tools and supplies.
• Maintain energy management program to minimize operating costs.
• Respond to emergencies and customer concerns and document in work orders.
