Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Building Engineer to manage advanced maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems.

You will monitor operations, perform preventive and corrective work, and oversee contracted tasks to keep facilities running smoothly. The role requires a High school diploma or GED with eight years in electrical/HVAC/refrigeration, a Universal CFC certification, and strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with eight years of experience in electrical systems, refrigeration and/or HVAC, or an equivalent combo.
• Universal CFC certification is required; additional certs in electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems or related areas are a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication; organized and analytical; capable of handling budgets and financial figures; proficient with MS Office and basic control systems.

Responsibilities

• Follow codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations and safety.
• Operate, maintain, monitor, and perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on building equipment (HVAC, electrical, fire detection, life safety, lighting, BMS, etc.).
• Maintain professional appearances of the property and engineering spaces.
• Prepare estimates for time/materials and order necessary supplies.
• Manage energy usage to minimize operating costs.
• Oversee outside contractors and inspect their work.
• Perform complex tasks across trades and inspect building systems such as fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing and electrical.
• Use work order systems, email, ESS and training; respond to emergencies and customer concerns.
• Provide informal guidance and coordinate tasks within the unit.
