Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Building Engineer to perform complex preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing and HVAC systems across interior and exterior building areas.

The role requires strong knowledge of building operations, safety compliance, and coordination with contractors. The candidate should have extensive experience in building systems and a proven ability to manage energy use and budgets on site.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED and 8+ years in electrical systems, refrigeration and/or HVAC.
• Universal CFC certification required; additional certs in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration or related areas may be required.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to analyze, organize, and present information effectively.
• Knowledge of operating budgets; ability to perform basic financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Complies with applicable codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations and safety.
• Operates and maintains building systems: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, lighting, and building management systems.
• Oversees outside contractors and inspects their work; ensures proper materials and safety standards are followed.
• Prepares estimates for tasks; maintains supplies and tools; contributes to energy management programs.
