Job summary

Lincoln Property Company is seeking a Lead Building Engineer in Wisconsin to manage day-to-day operations and maintenance of building systems. You will supervise engineering staff and contractors, coordinate preventive maintenance, and ensure safety standards across HVAC, electrical, and life-safety systems.

The role is 100% in-office with after-hours support as needed. Collaboration with tenants, vendors, and property managers is essential to maintain reliable operations and high service levels.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Five to seven years of industry-related experience or commensurate certification.
• At least one year of supervisory, training, and/or mentoring experience.
• CFC Certification preferred or willingness to obtain; licenses required per local/state rules.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, energy management software, CMMS, and building systems.
• Familiar with fire/life safety procedures and building codes.
• Strong customer service and ability to interact with tenants, vendors, contractors, and leadership.
• Ability to read and write English to understand manuals and write reports.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand BAS, HVAC, and electrical controls.
• Availability to work after hours and in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Oversee contractors and ensure safety compliance.
• Supervise and mentor engineering staff.
• Collaborate with tenants, vendors, and property managers.
• Oversee safety training and compliance.
• Conduct regular building inspections and address deficiencies.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules.
• Record readings and verify systems operate to standards.
• Communicate professionally with team and clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
