Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Building Engineer to maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems across our facilities. You will perform advanced maintenance, monitor operations, and apply site-specific expertise with autonomy to impact performance.

This on-site role requires strong troubleshooting, coordination with contractors, and a focus on energy efficiency and safety. Excellent communication and budgeting awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with eight years of experience in electrical, refrigeration and/or HVAC, or equivalent.
• Universal CFC certification required; additional certifications in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration systems, or related fields preferred.
• Strong written/verbal communication and organizational skills; able to present information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Follow all codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations and safety.
• Operate, maintain, monitor and perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on building systems.
• Maintain property appearance and engineering spaces; manage lighting systems and energy use.
• Prepare estimates for tasks and ensure materials and supplies are available.
• Oversee and inspect work by outside contractors (HVAC, plumbing, remodeling, etc.).
• Perform complex tasks on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and related trades; inspect building systems.
