Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in Fremont, CA seeks a Sr. Building Engineer for 1st shift (6am–2:30pm) to perform complex preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and building systems.

You will monitor operations and oversee contractors to ensure safe, efficient service. The role requires a high school diploma with 8+ years of experience in electrical/HVAC, Universal CFC certification, and strong communication and analytical skills to support building performance and safety

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED plus eight or more years of related experience.
Universal CFC certification required; additional licenses in electrical, mechanical, HVAC or refrigeration preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; analytical and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

Complies with codes, regulations and company directives related to building operations and safety.
Operates, maintains, monitors, and performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety).
Oversees and inspects work by outside contractors on assigned tasks.
Prepares estimates for time and materials needed to complete tasks.
Maintains energy management programs to minimize operating costs.
Responds to emergencies and customer concerns; uses work order systems for updates.
