Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Sr. Building Engineer in Fremont, CA to perform advanced preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and life-safety systems across building interiors and exteriors.

You will monitor operations, supervise contracted work, and drive efficient performance while maintaining safety, cost controls, and energy management practices. This position requires 8+ years in the field and CFC certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 8+ years in electrical, refrigeration and/or HVAC.
• Universal CFC certification required; additional certs in electrical, mechanical, HVAC or refrigeration desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to interpret documents and perform basic financial analysis.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, monitor, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire life-safety systems.
• Oversee contracted work and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Prepare estimates of time and materials for tasks.
• Utilize PC or PDA for work orders, email, ESS and training.
• Maintain energy management programs to minimize costs.
