Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Building Engineer for the 2nd shift in Fremont. The ideal candidate will perform complex preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems across interior and exterior building spaces.

Strong knowledge of building management and digital control systems is required. Responsibilities include safety compliance, energy management, and supervising contractor work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 8+ years experience in electrical systems, refrigeration and/or HVAC.
• Universal CFC certification required; additional certifications in electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, or related fields are a plus.
• Certifications/licenses as required by local/state jurisdictions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; good organizational and analytical abilities.
• Knowledge of financial terms and budgeting; ability to perform basic financial analysis.
• Ability to use PC/PDA for work orders, email, ESS and training.

Responsibilities

• Complies with codes, regulations, and safety directives related to building operations.
• Operates, maintains, and performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, lighting).
• Oversees external contractors and ensures work quality and safety.
• Prepares estimates for time and material needs and orders necessary supplies.
• Maintains energy management practices to optimize operating costs.
• Responds to emergencies and customer concerns.
