Job summary

ECS seeks a Building Enclosure Senior Project Associate to join its Mid-Atlantic Building Science + Infrastructure team in Hanover, MD. You will manage building enclosure consulting projects, lead technical investigations, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with clients, architects, engineers, and owners.

Ideal candidates hold a civil/structural or architectural engineering degree with 5+ years in enclosure consulting, and relevant licenses or certifications; the role offers growth,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• 5+ years of building enclosure consulting experience including field investigations, testing, or forensic assessments.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.), Registered Architect (R.A.), or IIBEC certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage building enclosure consulting projects from setup to completion.
• Lead technical investigations, testing, and design reviews.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Prepare and review reports, proposals, and budget updates.
• Interface with clients, present findings, and support business development.
• Ensure compliance with IBC, ASHRAE, ASTM, SMACNA, and CSI standards.
