Job summary

ECS is seeking a Building Enclosure Associate Principal to lead our Mid-Atlantic Building Science & Infrastructure team in Baltimore, MD. You will manage consulting projects, lead investigations, and collaborate with owners, architects, and engineers to deliver practical building envelope solutions.

The role requires 8+ years in building enclosure consulting, BECx experience, and professional certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architecture (NCARB).
• 8+ years of related experience in building enclosure consulting, including testing, commissioning (BECx), design review, or forensic assessments.
• Licensed or certified in at least one of the following: P.E., RA, IIBEC certifications (RRC, RWC, REWC, RBEC, CBECxP), UW–Madison BECxP/CxA+BE.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage building enclosure projects from initiation through closeout.
• Provide senior technical guidance on investigations, testing, and design consulting.
• Mentor junior staff and oversee staff assignments.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and support business development.
