Job summary

ECS is seeking a Building Enclosure Principal in Franklin, TN to lead building enclosure consulting projects and serve as a senior technical expert on investigations, assessments, commissioning, testing, and design consulting. You will work with clients, architects, and engineers to evaluate envelope performance and deliver practical solutions across facilities.

Responsibilities include project management, budgets, staffing, and mentorship of junior staff in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architecture (NCARB).
• 12+ years of related experience in building enclosure consulting, including testing, commissioning (BECx), design review, or forensic assessments.
• Licensed or certified in at least one of: P.E., RA, IIBEC (RRC/RWC/REWC/RBEC/CBECxP), or UW–Madison BECxP/CxA+BE.

Responsibilities

• Lead building enclosure consulting projects and serve as a senior technical expert.
• Provide technical guidance and perform principal-level review of reports and work.
• Oversee projects ensuring scope, standards, and ECS policies are met.
• Mentor junior staff and supervise assignments.
• Develop client relationships and pursue new project opportunities.
