Job summary

ECS Southeast, LLP is seeking a Building Enclosure Principal in Franklin, TN to lead building enclosure consulting projects and act as a senior technical expert across investigations, assessments, commissioning, and design consulting. You will collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers, managing scope, schedule, and quality while mentoring junior staff.

You will provide technical guidance, perform principal-level report reviews, and ensure alignment with ECS policies and industry

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architecture (NCARB).
• 12+ years of related experience in building enclosure consulting, including testing, commissioning (BECx), design review, or forensic assessments.
• Licensed or certified in at least one: P.E., R.A., IIBEC certifications (RRC, RWC, REWC, RBEC, CBECxP), UW-Madison BECxP/CxA+BE.

Responsibilities

• Lead building enclosure consulting projects and serve as a senior technical expert on investigations, assessments, commissioning, testing, and design consulting.
• Perform principal-level reviews of reports and ensure quality and consistency.
• Oversee projects, budgets, staffing, and subcontractor activities.
• Mentor junior staff and Associate Principals; support team growth and development.
• Engage in client development, proposal development, and delivery of findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate with clients, architects, contractors, and owners.
