Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Cleveland, OH seeks a Building Enclosure Senior Project Associate to manage enclosure consulting projects and lead technical investigations, testing, and design reviews. You will collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and owners and mentor junior staff in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include testing, site observations, drafting, plan development, and BECx commissioning, with a focus on delivering practical, code-compliant solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Architecture (NCARB), or related field.
• 5+ years of related experience with building enclosure consulting, including field investigations, testing, commissioning (BECx), design review, or forensic assessments.
• Licensure or certification preferred: P.E., RA, IIBEC certifications (RRC, RWC, REWC, RBEC, CBECxP), UW–Madison certifications (BECxP, CxA+BE).

Responsibilities

• Perform building enclosure testing, inspections, and consulting services.
• Conduct site observations of roofing and enclosure systems.
• Interpret drawings and perform drafting/CAD tasks as needed.
• Develop testing plans and perform specialized building enclosure testing.
• Interpret test results and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead building enclosure investigations, forensic assessments, and commissioning (BECx).
• Review design documents and submittals; perform design reviews.
• Maintain knowledge of IBC, ASHRAE, ASTM, SMACNA, CSI standards.
• Coordinate project teams and manage multiple projects with schedule and budget.
• Prepare and review proposals, change orders, budgets, and invoices.
• Mentor junior staff and supervise field personnel.
