Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Charlotte, NC seeks a Building Enclosure Principal to lead the Southeast Building Science & Infrastructure team. You will act as a senior technical expert for enclosure investigations, assessments, commissioning, testing, and design consulting, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities include project leadership across multiple scopes, technical oversight, and ensuring delivery of high-quality consulting

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of building enclosure systems (cladding, roofing, waterproofing).
• Strong project leadership and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Experience mentoring junior staff and associates.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical reports and client meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead Principal-level reviews of reports and technical work to ensure quality.
• Oversee projects from setup to closeout, including scope, schedule, and budget.
• Mentor junior staff and associates; guide staffing decisions and performance feedback.
• Develop and maintain client relationships; pursue new project opportunities.
